Mike Walter's LumberJacks for: Ernie Banks

"It was a great draft day, but seeing team need at pitcher, had to make a tough call and send Ernie Banks to Chicago. I like Hal coming to the Lumberjacks. Bancroft will be a sizable downgrade, but we needed a lefty".

Jeff Shanks on the deal:

"The Doobies realized a little too late that we had an overcrowded pitching staff. Sending Hal was a really tough call, but now we have a power bat in the line-up and seeing Hal go was brutal. However, we are excited to start the season on a HIGH note..."
