Days 11-20: Two leaders emerge!

Babe will accept his coveted Player of
The Block award right after his haircut.
Lookin' good, Babe!
The Yukon Polar Bears (15-5) and the Backwoods Bastards (12-8) have both staked early leads in their respective divisions.  Yukon is riding the strong pitching tandem of Christy Mathewson (4-0, 1.75 ERA) and Three Finger Brown (3-0, 2.17 ERA) to take an early lead in the National Division.  Backwoods is using the power hitting of Hank Aaron (.342, 5 HRs, 21 RBIs) and the multi-dimensional excellence of Oscar Charleston (.325, 6 HRs, 20 RBIs) to stay atop the American Division.

The player of this block is none other than George Herman "Babe" Ruth of the Vermont Socialists.  The Sultan of Swat hit .361 with 6 HRs and 14 RBis over these 10 games.  Lefty Grove was tops among the hurlers with 2 complete game victories, allowing only 3 earned runs and striking out 14.
