Days 1-10: The Saga Begins!

Willie Stargell, "Pops", sporting the
Lincoln-esque stovepipe cap, earns
the first 'Player of the Block' Award!
And so it begins!  Have run the first 10 days of games.  For those new to these retro leagues, I will do this every couple of days until we complete the entire 162 games.  You can send computer manager changes to me at any time and I will update them before running the games.

The Yukon Polar Bears had the best start, going 8-2 to start the year. Aliquippa and Backwoods both went 7-3.    Willie Stargell of Aliquippa is hitting a robust .625 with 5 homers already.  Babe Ruth is already making his presence felt, launching 4 dingers and driving in 12 for the Vermont Socialists.   "Big Six" Christy Mathewson has already racked up 3 wins, allowing just 3 earned runs in 27 innings!

On the flip side, Duke Snider is just 2 for 28 for Aliquippa, and Amos Rusie picked up three losses for Verona Ridge with his astronomical 11.40 era!
