Paul Bunyan making Cuts

In Bad Axe Michigan, team owner M. Walter is sharpening his axe and is mad at his "lousy" team play. Bunyan is forced to "axe" Harry Hooper and add Lou Boudreau. (The one who plays SS).

In a statement M. Walter said: "I did not expect the standings to reflect such an average team through 20 games. Something has to change and Hooper, a late pick anyways, is no longer considered a lumberjack. I need a spark plug at SS and Bancroft had been a back-up but became the star when Banks was traded to Chicago. But Lou hopefully provide this lousy "dull axe team" and start cutting down on the competition to a division pennant. The Polar bears have been a fierce rival and this needed to happen faster, than later."

Manager  Paul Bunyan on Owners harsh critique: "We all want to win the league, its all about making the play-offs. However, I disagree with the owner as we are 10-10 thus far. But, Harry Hooper was a great teammate and man. I wish him the best in his future endeavors..."

When asked about the "cutting" of Harry Hooper stud first baseman/DH Jimmie Foxx had this to say:
"I didn't even know his name. He rarely played. So screw it, we need help at SS and frankly, Bancroft could go too"

Owner M. Walter on Foxx's comment: "I agree wholeheartedly with Foxx, but at this moment Bancroft is still a member of the LumberJacks".

The LumberJacks expect high things and maybe this will be the spark this team needs.
